Transneft Western Siberia Improves Environmental Research Procedure

Date of publication: 16 June 2021
Transneft Western Siberia has purchased modern equipment worth MRUB 1 for its own environmental analysis laboratories.

New vacuum filtration devices will be used in three laboratories located at operating facilities in Omsk, Tyumen Regions and Krasnoyarsk Territory.

This equipment is designed for filtration in determination of suspended solids in technical water supply and wastewater disposal systems, as well as in surface natural waters. The level of suspended particles and impurities in samples is one of the most important sanitary indicators of wastewater treatment.

In addition, an aspirator has been purchased for the Rybinskaya line operation dispatcher station (LODS) analytical laboratory to collect suspended particles in industrial emissions, including for use at low air temperatures. In turn, laboratory assistants at the Omsk LODS will analyse wastewater using a new liquid analyser. The device is designed to measure the mass concentration of polluting inorganic and organic compounds in drinking water, wastewater and soil. Its advantages include short analysis time, a wide range of definable indicators and versatility.

Transneft Western Siberia's comprehensive provision of modern equipment to its laboratories allows its employees to expand the range of tests on underground, natural and waste water, atmospheric air, soil and bottom deposits. Results of ongoing analyses confirm the high environmental safety of production process and compliance with environmental legislation.
