Date of publication: 27 July 2020

Transneft Western Siberia specialists have completed scheduled repairs at operating facilities in Omsk and Novosibirsk Regions, as well as in Krasnoyarsk Territory.

During a scheduled shutdown of the petroleum products transportation through the Omsk — Sokur petroleum products trunk pipeline (PPTP), midlife repairs of three line gate valves were carried out. A stop valve unit was also installed at the Sokur line operation dispatcher station (LODS) of the Novosibirsk Regional Oil Pipeline Directorate (RPD).

During a scheduled shutdown of the Omsk — Irkutsk oil trunk pipeline (OTP), stop valve units were replaced at the line and at the Rybinskaya LODS process pipelines. The replacement was carried out based on the inspection which resulted in issuing the conclusion that the units were beyond repair after the end of their service life. The installation of new gate valves will provide a high level of protection for the equipment of operating facilities during crude transportation.

In addition, midlife repairs of thirteen gate valves were carried out at the Uyar CTP process pipelines and the Omsk – Irkutsk OTP. Specialists checked the gate valves’ operability, their technical condition, cleaned the equipment from corrosion and partially replaced the components.

The purpose of the works is to ensure reliable operation of the company’s operating infrastructure through timely implementation of scheduled preventive maintenance.

Oil and petroleum products transportation was resumed as scheduled, the operating facilities are now functioning under the standard protocol.
