The Give Christmas to a Child! charitable campaign has finished at Transneft Western Siberia on the threshold of the winter holidays. It engaged personnel of the Company’s branches in all regions of its operation.
This year, the campaign is taking place for the fifth time, seeking to ensure that New Year becomes a real red letter day for disadvantaged children. The employees spent their own money to buy gifts for residents of social rehabilitation centres, Sunday schools’ pupils and kids living at integrated social service offices and boarding schools for children with special needs.
The campaign resulted in more than four hundred gifts gathered, including toys, sports equipment, children’s books, clothes, educational kits and sweet treats. All the gifts were given to kids at New Year’s performances.
Personnel of Ishim Regional Oil Pipeline Directorate (RPD) took care of the celebration, having organised a stage show for the children staying at the Soglasiye social rehabilitation centre in the city of Ishim. In addition to that, Ishim RPD employees also gathered wastepaper and used the money thus earned to buy personal hygiene products for kids from the Soglasiye centre.
Volunteers from Novosibirsk RPD arranged charitable campaigns nearly in all the districts where the company‘s operational facilities are located, from Novosibirsk to Kashtan Settlement in Bogotolsky District. Representatives of the Krasnoyarsk branch launched collection of New Year’s gifts for children at three children’s homes. Following the tradition, personnel of the Executive office, the Omsk base of production and technical maintenance and equipment procurement and the Central production service shop, gave a New Year show for kids residing at the Omsk home for children with special needs. Omsk RPD employees made wishes of students from the Krasnoyarskaya Lesnaya Shkola health resort and boarding school come true, having given them skates and hockey gear.
The Give Christmas to a Child! charitable campaign wrapped up a series of corporate volunteer initiatives implemented in 2018. In the spring, when Victory Day was approaching, the Company’s personnel actively participated in the Good Deeds’ Light campaign, and on the threshold of Knowledge Day, they gathered more than 6 thousand items of stationery products for children.
