Transneft Western Siberia’s hockey team won in the final game of the Amateur Hockey Teams Association (AHTA). The decisive playoff was held at Fetisov Ice Arena (in Omsk).
The Company’s hockey team competed with Legion. As per AHTA’s regulations, a team winning two games wins the finals. Transneft Western Siberia’s team lost the first game in a shootout series, but romped to victory in the second and third games scoring a total of 9goals.
The Company’s team left no chances to their rivals in the playoff, winning the game with a 5-0 score. There were two goal scorers: Vyacheslav Loginovskikh, head of an incoming control laboratory at Omsk base of production and technical maintenance and equipment procurement (OBPTM & EP) and Denis Gorbonosov, a commodity loading operator at a pipeline metering station of Omsk LODS affiliated with Omsk RPD, who scored three out of the five goals that brought victory.
Participation in the AHTA Cup was a successful debut in the 2017/18 season for the ice-hockey team of Transneft Western Siberia. The Company’s combined team, which includes workers of the Executive Office, the OBPTM & EP and Omsk RPD, made a statement in amateur hockey by winning the first prize.
As was noted by Gulnara Parkina, Deputy Director General of Transneft Western Siberia for Personnel and General Affairs, promoting a healthy lifestyle among the Company’s employees is one of the top priorities for Transneft Western Siberia’s management.
“The Company rents swimming pools and gyms and purchases workout clothes and sports equipment. Team sports, such as ice hockey, soccer and volleyball are the most popular among our employees, since they boost physical fitness and help build tightly-knit teams both in sports and in work,” added Ms Parkina.
Furthermore, ice hockey team of Novosibirsk RPD has won third prize among amateur teams of Novosibirsk this month.
Transneft Western Siberia’s soccer players won second prize in the Silver Playoff of the Siberian Energetics Cup futsal competition. In the anniversary sectoral tournament, the team played with confidence against the team of Novosibirsky Zavod Iskusstvennogo Volokna (Novosibirsk Synthetic fiber plant), trailing by just 1 point.
On 27 May 2018, the combined team Transneft Western Siberia will take part in a 4.2km long race, as part of the Zeleny marathon in the city of Omsk.
