Date of publication: 21 April 2017 Print

The works on laying covers and welding siphons (working lengths) of Krasnoyarsk – Irkutsk oil trunk pipeline (OTP) at the crossings across roads of Krasnoyarsk Territory have been finished in the area of responsibility of Krasnoyarsk Regional Oil Pipeline Directorate (branch of Transneft Western Siberia).

Total length of the replaced pipe sections at the crossings across the roads is equal to about 164 metres. The longest crossing (75 metres) is across the federal road M-53 “Siberia”. All the works were performed using the directional drill method, the advantage of which is in reducing money and time costs. Besides, stop of road traffic is not required using this method.

Replacement of the oil trunk pipelines at the crossings across the roads was performed as part of the reconstruction of Rybinskaya – Tayshet section of Krasnoyarsk – Irkutsk OTP in accordance with the approved Programme of Technical Upgrading and Revamping (TU&R) of Transneft Western Siberia for 2017. In total 32.5 km of oil trunk pipeline will be reconstructed at this section. The reconstruction works are planned to be finished in November 2017. All the pipe replacement works are conducted under normal conditions without stop of oil transportation.
